Neighborhood Spotlights

Reston is a planned community founded in 1964 by Robert E. Simon.  Reston was ranked as one of the Best Places to Live in Virginia by Money magazine, highlighting its parks, lakes, golf courses, walking/biking paths, shopping & dining. 

There is currently one metro stop in Reston and will be adding another along the Silver line next year. The city is rapidly adding new offices & residential housing units.

If you are looking to live by the water, you have plenty of opportunities in Reston. 

Old Town Alexandria has a colonial atmosphere with historic homes that’s walkable to many shops & restaurants. The Torpedo Factory Art Center, Founders Park, Gadsby’s Tavern are some of the places you should visit.  If you are looking for a historic property in a family friendly, walkable location, consider Old Town. They also offer high-end condos & townhomes that were more recently built.  If you love fireworks, make sure you see the fireworks after the 4th of July as Alexandria celebrates its birthday with a bang.

Bowie, in Prince George's County, is a suburb of DC and has been ranked as a "Best Place To Live."   

Boasting 72 ball fields, Six Flags Amusement Park, three community centers, an ice arena at Allen Pond Park, a golf course and three museums.  

Bowie grew from a small railroad stop to the largest municipality in PG County.
